Nerdy Things To Do In Edmonton This Weekend (March 3-5)

Alright… so assuming you’re not playing your new Switch (just released at 12am this morning), there’re some nerdy options around town for activities this weekend. Logan premiered in theatres overnight so you can catch Hugh Jackman’s final turn as Wolverine or you can check out the yearly in-store Comic Con at MacBeth Comics (all the panels broadcast live on their big screen!).

Saturday is also Open Data Day at the Library and they’re hosting a wide variety of events/workshops that deserve your support if you can check it out. Kickstarter season is finally getting into gear as local board game designers Nick & Lauren from FongoMongo Games have their Kickstarter release tomorrow for Rolling Empires (I’ve played it and it’s great, it should fund really fast just like their last one).

Finally, Sunday you can check out Mutts & Meeples at Table Top Café and check out the Nerdiest Toy Show in Edmonton, the Collector Con.

See you all out & about and if you hear of anything else going on this weekend (or any weekend) give me an e-mail at and I’ll put the word out about it too!
