EPOC, Edmonton Prototype Convention is Edmonton Alberta’s first board game design focused gathering. Designers from all over Western Canada will come together for this two day event to learn, teach, and show off their latest designs. Eager members of the public are welcome to come meet the designers behind many popular published games, and many upcoming titles.
During the two day gathering, Designers will have the chance to demo and improve their games during Open Play Testing. There will be several other exciting events during the two days, culminating with a People’s Choice Award for best in show.
Open Play Testing
Each designer will have a table set up with their games ready to demo. Designers and non-designers alike are encouraged to try the games and to give feedback to help improve the games and make them the best they can be.
Each table will have sign up sheets which the designers can customize to their game, allowing interested people to schedule play sessions.
People’s Choice Award
Everyone who purchases a ticket to the event will have the chance to vote on their favorite game at the event. At 6:30 PM on Saturday, the votes will be tallied up and the people will choose their Champion! The price for the “Best in show” is TBD
