Amtgard – Western Winds, Circles Of Fate 2018, July 19th-22nd

Four days of LARP, games, tournaments & more! Amtgard is putting on a massive event this year and you could be there too!

This is Western Winds’ premier yearly summer campout event! 4 days of battle games, tournaments, meals, night fighting and hanging out!

*First year that we are Sanctioned as a Kingdom Level Event*

Event Price (In CDN, Details will be posted for On-site USD Conversion):

Full weekend: $45 (Pre-pays gets free showers!)
Out of Province/Country Travel: $40
Feast Only/Day Trip: $20
Ages 0-7 Free
Ages 8-11: $25

(Added incentive, any driver that carpools more than 200km will get an extra $5 discount per passenger they bring).

SLEEPING: tents and trailers.
Trailer plug ins only accessible to staff.

If caught sleeping indoor without prior arrangement with autocrat, you will be asked to pay $10 dollars and may be removed from the event. For emergencies, please contact staff to make arrangements to sleep in the hall. Indoor sleeping is in the basement only by pre-approval. The upstairs hall is to be kept free for Dragonmaster and access will be restricted (There will be public viewing times available).

SHOWERS: Shower setup will be provided at the event.
Showers will be free to all prepays.
For those that did not pre pay, showers will be $2/person.

Please keep all showers to a reasonable 5 minutes each to allow for enough water for everyone.

MEALS: Feast is provided. Some meals will likely be hosted by individuals or companies/households. Please refer to sign up sheet.

Circles of Fate this year is a themed event (Tales from the Vardo). Prep early in your best “mystic traveler” gear

The tavern will be making a return. It might not function the same, but there could very well be some “situations” that need to be taken care of.

There will be fortune tellers again this year as well.

Thursday July 19

2:00 PM: Gate Opens (registration for activities open)

4:00 PM: Early Bird Bear Pit (open)

5:00 PM: Militia Game (Zodiac Killer)

7:00 PM: Break for Dinner

8:30 PM: Bardic and Social

Once Dark: Lights come out, night ditching.

Friday July 20

CALLING ALL CRAFTERS! Circle of Fates Dragon master is coming up! 7 in 5 is what’s needed to qualify for title of Dragon master! Friday, July 20 in the morning I will begin taking entries at 8:30 am till 10:30 am and judging will begin at 11:00 am! There is a prize for best owl, best dragon, best in show and of course dragon master! If you have any questions at all feel free to ask!

10:00 AM: Team registration for Phoenix League

10:15 AM: Individual registrations for Warlord Tournament Closes

10:30 AM: Company Phoenix League Round 1

12:00 PM: Company Phoenix League Round 2

1:30 PM: Break for Lunch

2:30 PM: Company Phoenix League Round 3

4:30 PM: Phoenix League Championship Rounds

7:30 PM: Break for Dinner

8:30 PM: Mystic Traveller Costume Contest (winner gets a cool prize that can be used Sat)
Best Costume from the “Tales from the Vardo” expansion book
(Character Class or Monster)

9:00 PM: Bardic and Social

Once Dark: Lights come out, night ditching (hope there is not a full moon).

Saturday July 21 (Quest Day)

10:00 AM: Warlord Sports Tournament

• Single Short, Florentine, Sword & Board, and Great are the categories

• 10 minute Bearpit rounds, I pit for every 8 participants (each pit will have its own line)

• Simultaneous kills reset (Simo’s)

• Once each category is complete we move on to the Double Elimination Rounds where we will run
3 pits to expedite the rounds

• There will be an allowed 60 second break between fights if requested during elimination rounds

• If there is enough interest, consideration for an Archery Tournament during the championship rounds will be explored

1:00 PM: Lunch / Teams Picked for the day (2 factions, townsfolk and travellers)

2:00 PM: Class game (Tomb of the Barrow King: Relic Quest)

4:00 PM: Class game (Thief Among Us)

5:30 PM: Feast

7:00 PM: Awards and Coronation

Once Dark: Who Knows (spooky, right? Be familiar with all the games in Vardo).

Sunday July 22

11:00 AM: Left for Dead (variant…downsized) Are ye among the living, or are ye cursed?

1:00 PM: Break for Lunch

2:00 PM: Re-Enactment Demo (tentative)

5:00 PM: Hall empty, everyone is gone

Zodiac Killer:

• Militia Rules

• Mutual Annihilation

• Teams are formed based on Zodiac Sign (group by Water, Earth, Air, Fire).

Class games:

Class game (Thief Amongst Us)
• Timed Game/Mutual Annihilation 
• Teams will need to Protect their Rewards
• At the end of time, anything left out in the field is lost, only those items protected in your base remain in play (do you use the items to help you succeed, risking losing them, or do you rely on your natural skill to protect the items for what can only be a terrible night ahead)• Please refer to the Amtgard X Expansion, “Tales from the Vardo”

There will be a request for NPC’s for all day Saturday, rewards will be granted for your efforts in making this an event to remember.
