Foam Fighters is showcasing the work of 2 local artists, Eric Gravel and Donovan Michaels. Come down to support these local artists, learn about their process and meet other people interested in pop culture. Tickets are free, but must me reserved as there is limited capacity. There will be food and drinks available to purchase at Foam Fighters.

Eric Gravel

“My name is Eric Gravel. I’m an illustrator and comic book artist living in Edmonton, AB.

Working as a professional since 2002, I’m skilled in a handful of mediums, and have been commissioned by people all over the world to work on a variety of projects including fan art, comic book art, and logo design.

I’m an alumni of the Design and Illustration Program at MacEwan University in Edmonton, AB.”

Donovan Michaels

I’m thirty-two years old and have been doodling since I could pick up a pencil.

Since April of this year I finally started posting my work Online [on Instagram specifically] in a larger capacity and have been overwhelmed by the response [50,000+ likes].

As you can see from the images I’m a big Marvel comics fan, in particular Spider-man, and have been for as long as I can remember.

I’m a big nerd in general having interests in Dungeons and Dragons, Gaming Culture and Science and Technology in general.

I worked for BioWare for a short stint when I was younger and am now trying to finish a Fantasy Novel in the hopes of one day publishing it.
